Pegasus Elftown Art

2007-01-27 [Hedda]: I know And if you search for "pegasus species", Elftown comes up second. About 40-50 people a week find Elftown that way. But there are still millions of fantasy lovers who don't know about Elftown.

2007-01-28 [Artsieladie]: Hmmm...If I type in "Fantasy Art", Elfwood is the 2nd listing on the first page & Linköping Science Fiction Archive: Art comes up on the 4th page, next to last, with sf.www.lysator.liu.se/sf_archive/sf-texts/art/ - 7k given, but the Linköping...yada, yada, doesn't work. If I type in "Fantasy communities", Elftown comes up 3rd & on the first page! Just "Fantasy, Fantasy Art" or a couple variances of, doesn't bring up Elftown in the first 4 or 5 pages. I didn't go beyond 4 or 5.

Well, you know what? It is their loss. One day everyone who needs to be here will be here. Trust me: I have given enough word-of-mouth recommendations about Elftown to make up for quite a few people who would never do so.  x.op

Elftown is far more popular than I would have ever imagined it could be, and growing still. Hedda, how are we looking for free space now? I remember msging you when I first started making wikipages, freaking out about how long they were getting, and how many page versions there were taking up space. Not too far after, you recommended comment RPs, so that page versions were not as necessary, and it took a while for the Comments to be as limitless as they are now... I think it is nice to look back on progress here like that.

If I had been told that when I began Dtalk's Diary here in 2003, that I'd be doing all of this now, I would not have believed it. I would not have thought it was possible to do so much work and feel good about it.

It seems someone else has seen my Pegasus with the golden wings and has inquired about me creating a logo for her stables from it. In my response I want to include this link, from the site where my Pegasus with the golden wings was born. *ish so proud of Elftown!*

Or... maybe I should ask, why did the "img link" change on all of the other ones except this one?

2008-09-29 [Hedda]: Because there is already an image called pegasus.jpg. I'll change it to another name.

2008-09-30 [Artsieladie]: I see. :) That's a good name, because this is how people refer to that image, "The Pegasus with the Golden Wings". Actually, I want to change my jpg images to png's straight from my psd file, of course. They are much better images then the jpg's. :)

2010-08-22 [Artsieladie]: Hmmm... was going to upload my newest Pegasus art, "Golden Promise", to here, Pegasus Elftown Art, but the full size is too big for Elftown's file size limitation I see, because it states nothing larger than the approximate equivalent of 10 MB's is allowed. I won't compromise my art and change the format from a PNG to a JPG, because JPG's ruin the quality. *sigh* I guess I'll have to upload it elsewhere.

I guess I can increase the limit if it isn't way too big.

2011-08-18 [Artsieladie]: The full size of my Golden Promise Pegasus with many aspects of Elftown incorporated within the work, is currently 14MBs, which is way over 10MBs, [Hedda]. There are 4 "PSDs" involved with the work, two of which are about 2GBs, another nearing 2, and the other almost 1 GB. So, he is too big for here. I can upload him to Elftown.org though.

Incorporated into the piece are or are going to be such aspects as, a "Dragon's Lair", a magic "Fairy Garden", a duck's "Quacker State" (pun intended), an "Or-cave-n" (or "Orc-aven"), and of course, Galadriel, the magical, unicorn maiden, whom adores Golden Promise. ..And also dwarfs, halflings, and elves brought into the piece as well.

..And now that I have my new awesome machine... I want to see if I can't create an Elftown Story, an animated video, which is something I've been wanting to do for awhile and if I can bring together the various aspects of this piece AND the many facets of Elftown, I would be pleased as punch with such an accomplishment. :)
